During my parents’ routine trip to Costco, they surprised me one day when they brought home a different kind of ice cream. I frowned upon that ice cream because: first the weather is getting cold for ice cream, second it’s pricey at around 12USD, third, sugar equals weight gain and cavities! My mom was justifying that when she tried it on the taste sampling booth, she said it was so good and even my dad agreed with her. But $12 for a cup of ice cream?!! (well it’s 8 cups/box).
The ice cream is labeled “Cappuccino Truffle Confectionary” and is an Italian ice cream brand. Toledo is the written script on the label. I don’t know if it’s shipped from Italy. In the cup is a scoop of cappuccino ice cream sprinkled with bits of chocolate truffle confectionary? (I think that’s what the sprinkle is). When you cut into the ice cream, a chocolate ganache emerges from the center. Sounding yummier huh?
Even though I voiced my complaints, I would never turn down an ice cream. The first bite was a burst of cappuccino ice cream. It was so rich that I want to savor it longer. Then the sprinkles touch my tongue and it melts like chocolate sugar. The texture of the sprinkles give a little bit of something extra to the ice cream. When I bit into ganache center, I fell in love. It was addictive. The taste was full-bodied and it contrasts the dark chocolate from the cappuccino perfectly. Every time I eat this, I will scrape the cup no evidence of the ice cream is left. It is so good!
Yesterday my mom and I consumed the last cup of the ice cream. And I’m still craving for more.

hahaha tsk tsk. froyo na lang sila mama mas healthy pa.
